JOHN BARTH

Owner & Safari Outfitter

After earning a degree in Environmental Studies from Baylor University, John moved to Africa and worked for safari operators in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Upon returning home to Texas he was approached by one of the largest agencies in the world to run their African department. Three years later John started his own company which is now in it's 18th year. He has helped hundreds of people fulfill their dreams of taking an Africa safari.

MERRONA CARLSSON

Safari Coordinator

Merrona Carlsson has been part of the Adventure Unlimited team since 2005. She takes care of all the administration for the office, coordinates and prepares all our clients’ for their trips. Merrona was born and raised in Zimbabwe, but in the Fall of 2012 Merrona decided that Texas was now her home and became a Naturalized US Citizen.

GARRICK CORMAC

Guide & Professional Photographer

Garrick was born in Zimbabwe has been involved with safaris & the adventure tourism industry in Southern Africa professionally since he was 18. He started a mobile safari company in Botswana in 1988 with his love of wild places & the wildlife, the cultures, photography & videography. He has been guiding, outfitting, film making, taking pictures & teaching these skills ever since.

Garrick joined the Conservation Club team to assist in it’s growth, select and maintain great destinations for our clients, logistics & guiding clients throughout Africa on specialist safaris, of which he has a wealth of experience in countries like Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Angola, Gabon, Malawi, Burkina Faso & Rwanda.

PETER BARNARD

Safari Guide & Africa Expert

Also known as “The Wild Man of the Zambezi,” Peter Barnard has been guiding safaris in Zimbabwe since he was 18 years old. Peter is our Zimbabwe expert, and holds a full professional guides license enabling him to guide in every region of Zimbabwe, conduct walking safaris, river trips, game drives, etc. Peter is our favorite “go to” guide when arranging family safaris. As a father himself of two young children, Pete will go the extra mile to provide you and your children with a once in a lifetime safari.

ALISTER NORTON

Zambian Safari Guide

I was born in Zambia in 1979 and am 3rd generation Zambian. My whole family is involved in safari industry so it is no surprise that I grew up in the African bush. I started guiding at the age of 20 and became fully licensed in 2003. Having guided in all regions of I have an intimate knowledge of the game in the areas. I have good communications in camp and have fully trained staff to make your safari as comfortable and as memorable as possible.
